interior: color me up
I love this pink couch. A great hit of colour against the Yves Klein blue wall. Via New York Magazine.

The perfect sectional still eludes me. I do like this one from Gus and Mod-Livin is having a sale – 15% off…
Richard is one of my favorite interiors photographers. He has this great ability to leave a room dark and shoot around the shadows. Check out his site for lots of inspiration. I love these hits of dusty purple mixed back with black and gray.
I’m a big fan of Room & Board – they’ve got a strong furniture collection including some of my favourite Eames pieces. Their own designs are made locally out of environmentally friendly materials, and they aren’t horribly expensive. Tomorrow their new store opens in Culver City – a very short drive from my house. Lovely.
New from British designers Dead Good. I love their work…
I found these futon sofas at Target. They are aimed at the back-to-college crowd but I think they’d be good for an office or spare bedroom or even a porch. They are on sale for $199.
OK. So you are probably getting a little sick of sectionals. But this one is on sale…it’s the Jane by Gus. It’s 20 % off at All Modern. We bought our Womb chair from All Modern and the service was really poor – it took forever to get here (after the website clearly stated it was in stock) and every time I complained someone found something had gone wrong in someone else’s department. Irritating when you are spending so much money. But they do have a lot of good stuff.
Another sofa…and this one is less than $2000. CB2 is always a good place to look for inexpensive modern design. The Piazza is $1299.
This lovely sectional covered in linen is less than $3000. I haven’t seen it in the flesh but it looks good on ‘paper’. I came across it on designer David Golinda’s new site. Thanks Rochelle for the heads up on Golinda. He’s got a great website and a very nice eye.
Came across this lovely piece designed by Laura Bohn. I have serious sofa envy. Via New York Social Diary.
