Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa of Sanna.
Some cool sites I visited this week: Future Well: Healthcare with a twist… M-Dashing: Amy Feezor contributes to Lifework, works on Real Simple and blogs at M-Dashing. Things I Have Seen: The brilliant Matt Eastwood shares his online travels. Better Living Through Design: Great curated design site. Room & Board: For their cool collaboration with 103 year old Eva Zeisel – who is still designing. Desire to Inspire: So much stuff – so little time. This image-driven site is devoted to interiors.
I’ve been nominated for a blogging award…you can vote for me here!
I posted this yesterday over at Lifework. Atelier 37.2 is doing some really nice work.
Check out Made.com. Really interesting and innovative business model. And great designs. Nice combo.
Check out Amy Feezor’s take on the show over at M-Dashing. I love this ‘bamboo’ chair.
Another cool poster – this one is from Blue Art Studio.
I just found Zazzle – a cool site for posters. And they’ve got a whole collection of really affordable WPA art. Including this See America (and that Brush Your teeth one I posted before). 11 by 14 is $10 and the huge 52 by 66 is $129.
These self-taught fashion designers and sisters, Kate and Laura Mulleavy, intrigue me. Check out a film on their work and their Quicktake show at Cooper Hewitt. I missed the show (ended March 14) but the video is really interesting.
I looked for these about 3 months ago and they were sold out. Indoor/outdoor solar-powered lights from IKEA are back. Via Remodelista.
