I really like this house by Path Architecture. Really nice work.
I keep buying jugs and none of them are quite right. I have this dream that I can fill a jug with water and put it on the table and never have to fill it again – for a whole dinner party. Never ever happens. Do I need a bigger jug? I think this woodgrain one is wonderful…$58 from Terrain. Maybe I need two…
I love a good map and Raven seems to have a handle on what makes a map so very good. Clean, simple, graphic. The detail above is from their world map at night. Via Remodelista.
I haven’t had a chance to listen to the TED talks yet – but I will. GOOD just listed the top 10 – might be a nice way into the huge number of interesting talks. I love the day that includes Bill Gates and Sarah Silverman
These are Harper prints but they remind me of them…they are produced by Shay Ometz and Jeff Barfoot. And they sell for $25. Check out their website here. Nice
I love a map…and these are really cool. But at $249 they aren’t cheap. You will find them at Deluxa Furniture on Etsy.
Awesome house in Palm Springs just came down in price…now I need to find a lazy $1.8m to spend on it. Listed by Crosby Doe.
A cool project from the MAK for Art and Architecture. 27 billboards all over Los Angeles featuring art instead of advertising. I can’t find pics of the billboards but there is a map pointing out where they are! It launches Feb 17. The art work above is by Kori Newkirk. Photograph by Gerard Smulevich. Smulevich . The Los Angeles Times does a great “Tree of the Week” column in their Business section. Odd place for it to run but it’s quirky and always interesting. Thank you Pieter Severynen for the weekly tree updates.
A fascinating look at aid flowing into Haiti and proof once again that graphic designers are amazing. The image above will mean much more if you go to the site.
