I’m trying to get more organised. We rearranged the office and it feels a lot nicer. I still need to work out what to do with files and maybe this collator is the answer? It’s a magazine rack but would work well with manilla folders. And it’s on sale at DWR for $98. Advertisements
It doesn’t happen that often – DWR is having a Herman Miller sale. 15% off until December 13. I’ve always wanted an Eames Hang it All (above, $152) and those walnut stools ($704).
I don’t like any of the outdoor tables I’ve found so far. I much prefer the indoor ones… Jonathan Adler’s sawhorse below is perfect. As is the one from DWR above – although the glass top isn’t terribly practical!
This is what Brian wont be getting for father’s day. We’re trying to rein in the outgoings so even on sale this chair is beyond our budget. But it’s fabulous nonetheless and I know he’d love it. DWR is having a Herman Miller sale and the Eames lounge chair is just one of a bunch of items you’ll save 15 % on (plus free shipping). Now if it were mother’s day I’d be gunning for the classic Eames walnut stool (below).
The Airstream is one of my favourite local designs. It was 1931 when Wallace Merle Byam built a silvery camping trailer in his back yard in Los Angeles. I’ve always wanted to rent one of these mobile homes and travel up and down a coast (east or west). I found one for rent in Santa Barbara…or DWR has tricked one out. But you’d have to buy that one….for $49,066.. If you are going to spend that kind of money there’s also the special edition Victorinox. Airstream has partnerd with the Swiss Army knife guys to create a new sleek 2009 model. Now I just have to convince the family it’s a good idea. (The image above is from the Vintage Airstream Club).
