Beyond Target…

This is the first purchase for our new place that I really love. It’s the only thing I’ve bought recently that isn’t mundane. Isamu Noguchi designed the Akari light series in the early 1950s after a trip to the Japanese town of Gifu. The area was known for its mulberry bark paper lanterns. I love the sculptural quality of the lights. We got this one (the 10A) on Abbot Kinney at one of my favourite stores – Tortoise
